Richmond, VA

This past week I was putting on a training session for 15 co-workers at Salem Web Network‘s offices in Richmond, Virginia.

Tuesday night we had dinner at Old Original Bookbinder’s and Wednesday we ate burgers at Five Guys.  Five Guys is supposed to be the east coast equivalent of In-N-Out.  Their burgers are great, but to compare, their burgers have bigger patties and are more expensive.  Five Guys also does not have shakes on their menu, but offers bacon.  I did not ask if Five Guys had a secret menu.

After burgers on Wednesday, I went geocaching with a co-worker.  We found a couple of caches in an area near our hotel, and then we decided to do one more.  This one took us many blocks past the hotel, so by the time we found it and got back, Ihad worked up an appetite.  We had some bread pudding for dessert at Sin-e’s Irish Pub while listening to some mediocre karaoke.  I liked that the first appetizer listed on their menu was a pint of Guinness.  I didn’t like that our waitress was a bit cranky.

Here is a map of our travels, with point A being the Omni Hotel, our starting and ending point :
