SB County Fair – 2012

The kids had a great time at the fair.  Max won an Honorable Mention (1 step below ‘Best In Show’) ribbon for his Lego space ship.  Roly enjoyed the animals.

Vacation Palm Springs–Almost the end

Saturday, we moved into Poppa and YaYa’s unit.  They had the week from Sunday to Sunday, while our week was Saturday to Saturday.  They were only staying until Saturday, helping us by watching Roly while we went to Knott’s Soak City

It was a good day overall.  But, it seemed like the park was artificially ‘slowed down’.  By that I mean that there were fewer tubes available for the tube rides and the ride operators were sending people at a slower pace.  Both of these conditions lead to longer lines.  We waited about 25 minutes for Pipeline and then decided to eat lunch.  We waited about 15 minutes to order lunch only to find out that they wouldn’t run the CC without ID.  Who carries ID at a waterpark?  I went back and got the ID and then back in line for another 15 minutes or so.  Sad smile

The kids especially enjoyed the wave pool.  We spent at least 3 hours of our time at the Wave Pool.  Lucy had to wear a life jacket because she was only 47 inches tall, but she didn’t let that stop her fun.
