Catching Up

EASTER!

We had a whirlwind of a wonderful day.  Toby sang and signed in the first-ever Reality Church Gospel Choir, at our SB City College outdoor service (with 8000 attending!).  We brought 2 of our exchange students, Jade and Kathy, and had boys Jorden and Ben Dokolas visiting from Bakersfield too.  Auntie Kelly, Uncle Ray and Toby’s college buddy Val met us at the service as well.  Full house!  We concluded the day with the always-wonderful Easter late lunch at Gma and Gpa Seal’s house, complete with egg hunt and lots of treats.

Most recent outing

Max pitched again on Wednesday’s game (5/18/2011) against the Mudcats.  He pitched for a full 2 innings, as the closer, delivering 47 pitches.  He struck out 5 batters and didn’t allow any runs.

The Bulls won the game 6-4.  With only 3 games left in the season, we are tied for 1st place, I think.

P.S. The camera on my phone is a piece of junk.  I hope to have some better pictures if he pitches on Saturday.

Oh, that is what a rain fly is for

It rained last night. We are using a borrowed tent, and I didn’t put up the rain fly. Big mistake. I already don’t like the sound of rain, and now I have another reason not to like it. Wet tent, wet sleeping bag, wet shoes, wet pillow. But I can smell bacon cooking for breakfast, so all is not too bad.
